Entertainment Programs

We've been featuring regular Thursday night gigs since 2005.  This year, we have 2 series of open mic events followed by Old Time Radio and Classic Movie screenings.  And some special events thrown in for good measure.

Old Time Radio Night

Episode 1: The Six Shooter was a folksy Western adventure series which starred Jimmy Stewart as Britt Ponset, a frontier drifter, gentleman, and gunfighter with a gun of “gray steel and rainbow mother-of-pearl.” They call both the man and the gun The Six Shooter.
Episode 2: My Favorite Husband, a CBS radio sitcom, starred Lucille Ball and Richard Denning as Liz and George Cooper, “two people who live together and like it.” It ran for 124 episodes between 1948 and 1951.
Episode 3: Bold Venture followed Humphrey Bogart as hotel and boat owner Slate Shannon and Lauren Bacall as his ward. The two embarked upon adventures and found themselves in tight situations when they hired themselves out to shady characters.

Music lasts all day, 1:00-10:00 pm, in and around Larchmere. Bring a bike, or lawn chairs, and get a taste of Larchmere's upbeat vitality and offbeat charm.

Larchmere Festival

Larchmere Boulevard is a home-grown Cleveland original, with mom-and-pop shops, unique retail, skilled local services, and a pretty cool bookstore. Every summer, we celebrate with a Festival to highlight our community and our main street. This year, the Festival will feature:
• Antiques Fair, featuring quality collectibles and antiques from local vendors
• Cleveland Bazaar, featuring crafters and makers and quirky re-purposed fun
• Author Alley, from national bestsellers to local self-published authors
• Entertainment, including live music, workshops, a chess tournament, spoken word, and children’s activities
The Larchmere Festival extends from Kemper to East 121st Street - 10 blocks of shopping and entertainment. Larchmere Boulevard is located just one block north of historic Shaker Square, on Cleveland’s east side, and is easily accessible by bike and public transit. All events free.
