The sixth annual Larchmere Festival will take place on Saturday, July 7, from 10 am – 5 pm. Filled with antiques, collectibles, flea market vendors, crafts, and entertainment galore, the Festival is a celebration of local arts, community, and independent business.

In addition to sidewalk sales and bargains, musical entertainment from jazz pianist George Foley and violinist Ariel Clayton, a squadron of Cleveland’s hippest food trucks, and tall puppets, you’ll find these special events at the festival:

Bazaar Bizarre is not your granny's craft fair!  The artists who comprise the popular indie Bazaar Bizarre are spunky, outrageous, and irreverent -- and so is their art.   We are pleased that this indie market will join us again in our Larchmere celebrations in a new and expanded location, and we invite you to discover the quirky, homemade kitsch that has made them famous.

Back for its sixth year, Author Alley is a celebration of all things literary in Northeast Ohio. From noon to 4 pm, nearly 50 authors will be on hand at Loganberry Books to meet with fans, chat with readers, and sign books. Participating authors include Mary Doria Russell, Tricia Springstubb, Cinda Williams Chima, Michael Heaton, Erin O’Brien, Arabella Proffer, and Carlo Wolff. For a full list of authors and their books, please visit www.loganberrybooks.com/authoralley-2012.html or call 216-795-9800.

At the west end of the street, Progress with Chess will present Beat the Chess Master! From 12-4pm, you will have the opportunity to challenge National Chess Expert Calvin Marshall in a simultaneous chess exhibition.  All ages and skill levels welcome. A tournament chess set will be awarded to anyone who achieves a draw or victory against the expert. We hope you will stop by and visit us and enjoy a relaxing game of chess.

Cleveland’s largest arts and antique district, Larchmere is located one block north of historic Shaker Square, and is easily accessible by car, bike, and public transit. The Festival will be held along Larchmere Boulevard between East 121 and East 130 Streets, and the street will be open to traffic. Please visit http://www.larchmere.com/LarchFest2012.html for more information.
