Loganberry Books celebrates
Larchmere Boulevard’s Sidewalk Sale
Booksigning with Marian Morton
Erl Lumplin’s Paintings at the Annex Gallery
Saturday, September 4th, 2004

Summer is waning, but not before Larchmere Boulevard celebrates with a Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, September 4th.  From 11am—5pm, the 50+ shops and services who reside on Larchmere Boulevard (just a block north of Shaker Square) will display bargain merchandise on the sidewalks and sales throughout their retail stores.  The art and antiques district is known for the quirky, esoteric, rarities and bargains.  Don’t miss the street-wide sale!

Loganberry Books will offer sidewalk specials from 50 cents to 5 dollars in addition to a 20% store-wide sale.  Strong Bindery will feature a 20% sale on their handcrafted leather dressing for fine binding restoration.

Local author Marian Morton will sign her books and share tidbits of Cleveland Heights history.  Her two books published by Arcadia Publishing, Cleveland Heights: The Making of an Urban Suburb and Cleveland’s Lake View Cemetery will be available for signing and sale.  Morton is a well-respected local historian and a professor at John Carroll University.

Erl Lumplin’s painting exhibition will also open at Loganberry’s Annex Gallery.  Lumplin is a local artist whose bold black-and-white paintings evoke an immediate poignancy of simplicity and profundity.  The Annex Gallery, where art exhibitions revolve monthly, adjoins the space between Loganberry Books and Strong Bindery.

Loganberry Books is an inviting used and rare bookshop with 50,000 volumes from fiction to philosophy.  With a strength in out-of-print children’s books, Loganberry has been featured on National Public Radio and The New York Times for its Stump the Bookseller service.  Loganberry is open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm.  Photos and jpg’s available upon request.
