Author Alley at Loganberry Books, July 2, 2016

Cleveland book lovers will have the opportunity to meet nearly 40 authors from throughout Northeast Ohio at Loganberry Books (13015 Larchmere Blvd.) on Saturday, July 2 as part of Author Alley. This annual celebration of local writers coincides with the Larchmere Festival, a street fair that features antiques and collectibles, beautiful art, quirky crafts, entertainment, and community camaraderie. From 12:00-4:00 p.m., the driveway outside of Loganberry Books will be transformed into Author Alley, featuring authors who live in or have strong ties to Northeast Ohio. Participating authors will be on hand to sell and sign copies of their books and to chat with readers.

Some of the highlights this year include Professor Henry Adams with his new books on artists Dale Chihuly and Thomas Hart Benton, and Tricia Springstubb’s outstanding new novel for middle grade, Every Single Second.  Poet Ray McNiece will be here with Love Song For Cleveland, and fantasy writer Idalita Wright Raso will sign copies of Eye of Saturn.  Les Roberts will also be joining us with his 16th Milan Jacovich mystery, Speaking of Murder. The Larchmere Festival extends from N. Moreland Blvd. to E. 121st Street, on the east side of Cleveland.  Among the many vendors joining us for the day (10am—5pm) includes the indie artists of Cleveland Bazaar, which has several popular pop-up shops around town.  A Creation Station will help kids make whirligigs and funky hats, and 3 different DJs will be spinning the tunes along the street.  Calvin Marshall returns with his Chess Challenge, and a martial arts exhibition showcases local student work.  It’s a family-friendly neighborhood event, with food trucks and merriment in one of the best neighborhoods of Cleveland.
