**  4th Decade Larchmere Holiday Stroll  **

Friday, November 28, 10am--5pm
Saturday, November 29, 10am--5pm
Sunday, November 30, 12--4pm

It’s our fourth decade, that much we know.  One merchant thought it was the tenth, another swore it was the 41st, but Walter Thompson at Gentleman’s Quarters (12807 Larchmere) confirms that he started the Larchmere Holiday Stroll with John Sedlak in 1970.  So, it’s already the 44th?  Who knew?

Any way you cut it, the annual Larchmere Holiday Stroll has now entered its fourth decade, and is still going strong.  As the decades pass, the tenants on the street come and go, but one thing has remained constant:  Larchmere is entirely comprised of locally-owned businesses.  The moms-and-pops here take great pride in the new and vintage goods and services they offer, and this kick-off to the holiday shopping season is our love letter to the city of Cleveland.  Bring your out-of-town guests for a real slice of homegrown Cleveland.

The annual Larchmere Holiday Stroll will take place the weekend following Thanksgiving, Friday, November 29 thru Sunday, November 30, 2014.  Hours on Friday and Saturday are 10am—5pm; hours on Sunday are more scattered, but most shops will be open 12—4pm.  Food and drink and festive holiday cheer will be offered at every independent business up and down the Boulevard.  A nostalgic horse and buggy will provide transportation and rustic charm on our newly-finished streetscape on Friday and Saturday, 1-4PM. Shop local for the holidays!

This year’s highlights include:

ˇ         Stroll the street in nostalgic fashion with popular horse and buggy rides, Friday and Saturday, 1–4 PM.

ˇ         Celebrate the recently completed $2MM Streetscape project, with new sidewalks, decorative permeable paver berms, benches, lights, and the coolest bike racks in town.

ˇ         It’s Black Friday!, it’s Small Business Saturday!, it’s Indies First at Loganberry Books (13015 Larchmere Boulevard, 216-795-9800).  Who better to recommend a book than a writer of books?  Join Loganberry Books – and other indie bookstores across the country – for a national initiative called Indies First, featuring authors as booksellers, just to spread the love of literature (Daniel Handler and Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer have instigated a movement).  The schedule at Loganberry includes:
