NOBS Forums presents Eric Coble
Saturday, August 20th at 4:00pm

The Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society (NOBS) continues with its bi-monthly meetings called NOBS Forums, Conversations throughout the book world.

Our second NOBS Forum will take place on Saturday, August 20, at 4 pm, with Eric Coble, local playwright.  His talk is entitled Waving Goodbye:  Turning your Play into a Screenplay.  He'll look at some do's and don'ts on making the transition, discuss his own experiences with options, producers, "free water tours", etc.

Eric Coble was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and bred on the Navajo and Ute reservations in New Mexico and Colorado.  His play "Bright Ideas" recently opened Off-Broadway at the Manhattan Class Company, directed by John Rando.  His scripts have been produced throughout the U.S. and the world including productions at The Kennedy Center, Actors Studio, Playwrights Horizons, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Alliance Theatre, Cleveland Play House, Curious Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Stages Repertory, Contemporary American Theatre Festival, and the Laguna Playhouse.  Awards include the AT&T Onstage Award, National Theatre Conference Playwriting Award, and an NEA/TCG Playwright in Residence Grant.  Eric is a member of the Cleveland Play House Playwrights Unit, where he writes for several nationally broadcast radio programs and has four screenplays in the labyrinth of Hollywood.

The Forum will meet at Loganberry Books at 13015 Larchmere Boulevard in Shaker Heights.  Admission is $3 for non-members  and free for members of NOBS.  Reservations are not required.  NOBS memberships are open to anyone and will be available at the door.

If you have any questions, please contact Harriett Logan at Loganberry Books (harriett@logan.com or 216-795-9800).

The next NOBS Forum will feature a book Show-and-Tell session, on Saturday, September 17th, at 4:00pm.

Please join us!
