Northeast Ohio Writers Converge at Loganberry Books for Author Alley, July 5

Area book lovers will have the opportunity to meet nearly 50 authors from throughout Northeast Ohio at Loganberry Books (13015 Larchmere Blvd.) on Saturday, July 5 as part of Author Alley. This annual celebration of local writers coincides with the Larchmere Festival, a street fair that features antiques and collectibles, entertainment, and community camaraderie. From 12:00-4:00 p.m., the driveway outside of Loganberry Books will be transformed into Author Alley, featuring authors who live in or have strong ties to Northeast Ohio. Participating authors will be on hand to sell and sign copies of their books and to chat with readers.

Sam Thomas, author of The Midwife’s Tale and The Harlot’s Tale, is one of the nationally known authors who’ll be returning to Author Alley on July 5. Thomas notes that “I found last year's Author Alley to be an utterly delightful experience. More than any other book fair it had a wonderful atmosphere, and I had the opportunity to meet a host of wonderful readers and writers!” Another returning writer, Gail Ghetia Bellamy, author of Cleveland Summertime Memories and Cleveland Christmas Memories, has been a regular at Author Alley since its inception. “Each year I look forward to participating in Loganberry Books' Author Alley,” she says, “a convivial gathering during the street festival, where readers, writers and book-lovers can chat in the shadow of Gene Epstein's book mural on the exterior of the building. In the past, the bookstore has pampered the authors with Popsicles on sweltering days, and umbrellas on drizzly ones. What's not to love?”
