Salutations!

Books!  Movies!  Food!  Here are some special announcements that didn't make the last newsletter...

CIFFFILM FEAST:  A Winter's Tale
Wednesday, January 14,  7pm
Hosts: Roy Turnell and Joe Arezone

Oh, those winter months. We all need help finding new ways to stay entertained — at least until March when the Film Festival rolls around! That's why we've asked Sari Feldman, Executive Director of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, and Clint O'Connor, Film Critic for The Plain Dealer, to join us for a night of book and film talk. We'll meet at Loganberry Books where these two experts will talk about their favorite winter reads coupled with their favorite winter flicks. We'll also have Gene's Jazz Hot on-hand to perform and help melt away those winter blues!  Wine, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts will be served.  $50 per guest.  Friends of Loganberry Special! -- Call 216.623.3456 x 14 and use the code “Loganberry” to receive 20% off ticket price!

bindingSTRONG BINDERY WORKSHOPS
There are also several workshops coming up at Strong Bindery, with still-tentatives dates.  E-mail Ellen Strong at strongbind@hotmail.com for more information, dates, and enrollment details.
Box Making -- How to build a clamshell box and other custom-fit boxes.  One weekend [Saturday and Sunday] in February.
Paper Repair -- The basics of paper repair, including paper and glue choices.  One Saturday, TBA.
Repairing Cloth Bound Books -- How to replace detached covers, resew loose pages and repair broken spines.  Some bookbinding experience required.  Five Saturdays in March in April, TBA.

In other Loganberry news, the holiday cards and calendars are now 30% off and a host of Valentines have now arrived!  Mention this newsletter during the month January for an extra 10% off anything [excluding Annex Gallery or items marked "net"].  It's winter, after all.

peace,
Harriett
